
Liliana Pop
Liliana Pop is an associate professor of English at the”Babeş-Bolyai” University of Cluj, Romania, Faculty of Letters, Department of English.
She is a graduate of the same university and received her doctorate degree there. She specializes in literature, teaching British Romanticism and Poetic Modernism. In the Irish Studies Master programme of the same university, she teaches Yeats and Women Writers.
She received her translator’s degree in Romania, Bucharest, for English and French.
Her academic specialization includes a research Fulbright Scholarship in the USA and studies in Great Britain, (University of Warwick) and Ireland, (Sligo).
Her teaching and conference career, besides various Romanian universities, includes France (Besançon and Toulon), Germany (Bochum), the US (Toledo, Ohio and Reno, Nevada) and Ireland (TCD, Dublin).
She has published translations and academic articles in different periodicals, wrote and edited several books: The Creative Word. A Study of T.S.Eliot’s Poetry (2004), Crossroads. Essays in British and American Literature (2007), Journeys through the European Landscape/Voyages dans les paysages européens (ed.) (2008). Her book on English Cosmopolitan Romantics is currently being published at the L’Hatmattan, Paris, France.
She has translated academic and fictional books into Romanian, such as Sebastian Barry, Jurnalul ascuns (The Secret Scripture) (2009). Her collaboration with EFACIS started with The YEATS REBORN Project.
