Lola Hörner

Lola Hörner is a creative writer and translator. She won the Lía International Artist Book Prize in 2015, with the project 21,000 princesas (21,000 Princesses), created in collaboration with Ave Barrera, and dealing with the theme of femicides in Mexico.  She is also the author of several books for children, such as Pócima contra el divorcio (Against- Divorce Potion, 2015), Juana la iguana (Joanna the Iguana, 2016), De plata en un blanco lago: la leyenda de Xaratanga (Silver against a White Lake: The Legend of Xaratanga, 2016). Hörner is a PhD student in the Comparative Literature Programme at the National Autonomous University of Mexico; she is writing a dissertation on Postmodern Rewritings of Fairy Tales by English and Spanish-speaking women authors.
