
María Gómez de León
María Gómez de León López is a student at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. She is currently writing her undergraduate dissertation on the relationships of property of animals as a political allegory in Malcolm Lowry’s Under the Volcano. Her dissertation is part of a broader research project called “Resistencias. Historia y Pensamiento Crítico: Literatura, Arte y Cine” (“Resistance. History and Critical Thinking: Literature, Art and Film”), coordinated by Esther Cohen (PhD). She was teacher assistant at UNAM from 2017 to 2018, in Charlotte Broad’s (PhD) seminars on gender and Modernism, and on dissertation writing.
